Studies show that first responders are up to five times more likely than the general population to experience stress, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In recent years, more first responders have died by suicide than in the line of duty.
The constant exposure to destruction, injury, and death can take a heavy toll both emotionally and physically. Untreated stress can lead to poor physical health and impaired decision making.
Integrative Outreach has developed workshops to teach safe, effective, and efficient stress reducing techniques to high stress populations. Using methods such as yoga, meditation, TRE©, and massage therapy, Integrative Outreach’s mission is to empower the populations we serve to reduce and manage stress.
These workshops are taught by caring, highly qualified, licensed practitioners in environments that allow participants to not only learn about, but also practice holistic stress-relieving techniques. While we have pre-designed programs in place, we are happy to work with human resource departments, departmental social workers, counselors or chaplaincy programs to create customized programs to meet the specific needs and goals of your agency.
